Snakes in, school’s out! Slithering reptiles cause chaos in class

A school class in Kamphaeng Phet province had to be abandoned today after students discovered four snakes had slithered into the room without anyone noticing.

Glanarong Sirinrote, who was teaching the Prathom 5 class at Baan Nam Dib Mapraw School in Phran Kratai district, posted a Facebook video of the incident that quickly went viral.

The teacher evacuated the class after someone noticed it had been joined by a quartet of uninvited guests – golden tree snakes of various sizes. Glanarong managed to contact rescue volunteers, then teamed up with them to capture and remove the snakes in bags. Fortunately, none of the students was bitten by the slithering reptiles.

Golden tree snakes are mildly venomous but not considered dangerous to humans.

Never liked snakes...have great respect for their bite...a few close calls but so far no altercations...I would like to see them trained to control rioters and looters...????

when a snake crosses my path, it will be the end of it ...

My wife has a strong dislike of snakes , as for me unless it is a known venomous big snake I pop them over the wall in to the rice fields.  Spiders she will pick up but not so me , I hate them.   Caterpillars she dislikes , I think they are lovely.   We both like our cats but they catch snakes and rats.  Funny old world.

Lovely reptiles - snakes! Very good at controlling vermin such as rats and mice. Snakes are afraid of YOU and will try to avoid, unless cornered or provoked. They will then try to protect themselves and attack. The man in the photo is no doubt showing respect for the snake which he will put in the bag and release in a forest.

What a heart warming post!

Respect our friends the animals, and they will respect us!

We are all in this world together!

Unfortunately 1 flaw.......

We have no way of telling if the snake feels cornered or provoked.

Try again, Baldrick.
