Older games and consoles

Featured Replies

Is there anyone in Thailand, noted for trading older, "retro" games consoles and games from Japan? This is a hobby that I could turn round into employment, but I'd also like to know where to buy.

Yeah there's a whole mall full of them in Chinatown, also online on lazada

Yeah man, sells both used imports ex Japan and clones. The big toy mall near little India in Chinatown has a floor nearly all dedicated to these.

Example I saw the other day online, ex Japan Dreamcast with all standard accessories and modded to accept backups from SD card is under 2k baht on Lazada.

Mega Plaza in Chinatown is good for older consoles.

New but old stock PS3s modded to play offline. 5,500b. External HD with 50 games of your choosing. 1,000b.

I was thinking of "retro": I know enough about that, to trade in BKK or elsewhere.

Loads of RGH/JTag modded xbox 360s around 4-5kbht

Though I have a passing interest in 360 STGs, the 360 on the whole ain't my bag.

I was thinking more of 8 and 16 bit formats, and maybe Dreamcast. This is something I could trade in, at least "off the books", but it needs a retro gaming scene.

I’m assuming emulation is out of the question?

A proper retro scene only really exists physically in Japan, everywhere else it’s online...
