Popular Post bodga Posted August 17, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 17, 2020 Those regulation flip flops wont help either, Thai safety, remember TAT ensures your tourist safety. Minimum paltry payout to the deceased guaranteed with possible photo op of the "caring" owner 3
mikebell Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Health and Safety laws have yet to catch on in Thailand and, in any case, it was only a couple of foreigners. 1
xtrnuno41 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 (edited) Police investigate? It's for labor investigators to investigate. But probably neither both of them really know how. Scaffold bamboo or iron? Ok just saw on pics it could be iron.! Of course, maybe. one section gave away, overload? Inferior material? Or wrongly build? Sad you have to die at your work. Ive seen workers in Thailand on a scaffold working, it is amazing. No boards, just standing on the bamboo, no safety harnas, one hand for holding and the other hand working. Safety with working has still a long way to go in Thailand. Companies , managers dont care about their workers. Edited August 17, 2020 by xtrnuno41 additional text 2
Bender Rodriguez Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 in moo baan, where they are building since ever before I moved there (10+ years), saw dome dudes doing a roof and thought, if one falls, no security ... probably "disposable" by thai slave owners
ChrisY1 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 They build scaffolding up 40 levels with Thai Watsadu blue scaffold frames......complete junk that shouldn't go over 3 levels....it's just very thin mild steel tubing...but no-one cares!
mike787 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 So sad, they are there sacrificing their lives....RIP. I wish someone would start a GOFUND to help their families.

They weren't sacrificing their lives, that would imply intent for a higher goal. They were just trying to make a living but unfortunately were born on the wrong side of the railway tracks. Lack of health and safety regulations as well as apathy killed them 1 1

sammieuk1 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Failed by incompetence with little accountability no doubt ????Rip
bkk6060 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 (edited) Will anyone buy a condo there? I have been told that if a person dies during construction of a project it is bad luck for any future residents with possible ghosts haunting the place. Edited August 17, 2020 by bkk6060
balo Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Happens every year, we had a similar accident in North Pattaya, next to Amari where 2 workers died.
CANSIAM Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Yes those steele toed flip flops 7 stories up, obviously his fall protection apparatus 'rope around his waist' failed. Safety starts with YOU they say......
