No surprise coming from the Nation "English" the Nation "Thai" version is taking a lot of criticism on social Media today for it's one sided bias reporting.

Where are they going to learn critical thinking in the Thai education system? By the look of things these students have gained that part of their education outside of the formal system and are de

Boy o boy they are far reaching out to push, strangle, hold, and drown the students out. This doctor is only a Quack! She looks to be one of Anutin's birds.

Socrates, ordered to drink poison for "corrupting the youth", would understand this perfectly. Maybe he was the internet of his day.

Yeah, right!

Dumb students!

Let us explain to you, that everything in Thailand is honky dory!

Your elders and superiors are always right, ther status quo is what it is because it is good and the people in power have only your best interests at heart!

Now...you hush, goosestep around the schoolyard and sing praise to the religion, the country and ...the people, who know, what's best for you!

I do know this, my 16 year old granddaughter is talking bout it more and more (in advanced English), she's well aware of the benefits of quality democracy, the factors needed to build and maintain democracy, equal fair justice, freedom of speech and a lot more ans she can debate these items, she clearly understands.

We discovered a few months ago there's a small group of students at he school who have the same knowledge and understand. Many are from Thai/farang marriages.

I asked her where she's getting all this detailed knowledge and understanding. Her response 'more and more kids are realising that politics, government, police, education and more in very successful countries is very different and we like what we see, and many have been doing a lot of search to understand and to identify specifically what's wrong in the LOS.

When I was in Berkeley in the 60s some psychology teacher became known for suggesting that the students were mainly engaging in a sort of Oedipal rebellion against their father/authority figures; that didn't go over too well either.

Right..... The kids don’t understand they’re just dust under the elite’s feet. How dare they think that they’re not the property of the state.

Don't let the door hit you

It's the older generation who don't understand or choose to stick their head in the sand cos they've all been corrupted already.

Or perhaps they offer a fresh, uncorrupted perspective as well as a new path.

"Psychologist" in my opinion in reflecting the continuity bias built into a society that the older generation will support even though it is has run it's course and should be allow fold under the weight of its own malfeasance.

It really is time to explore different paths and the youth offer the way forward.

are you even in Thailand. ok let's go back to the protests, roadblocks, fighting, shootings, mayhem, killings, yes wouldn't that just be great ... but hey ' democracy works.   lol  !

It may well work but the military cannot let proper democracy happen as they will end up with broken rice bowls.

The people need to change, not just the above, but i don't think they want to change.

I feel the Thai's submissiveness is due to their not been ever colonised, for some reason

Yes. The ones that are fluent in English know. My daughter has been discussing what's going on in the student circles with me for months. Makes me damn proud of her.

I wonder if they can blame the internet on the past student protests, 1976, 1992 etc. there have been many, unfortunately none have ended well as they threaten the (same) ruling powers, who ain't giving up anytime soon........

I suppose that would be modern in Thailand, where they are still in the warlord stage of not being able to say anything and following orders blindly.

What very sad state of affairs it is when Children have to teach their elders how rotten and corrupt they've become.

So what do they do to save face use a Psychologist to undermine them. lol. sad.

Self censored!

It was a good joke, but not worth the hustle!

I could say the same thing for every Government since the Taksin Shinawatra government, except when the Democratic party was in charge. Even at the end of the TS 'reign' he had become too corrupt. So say what you will, protest are good, but "Political matters are complex subjects" and students should be in school learning, not out protesting because the 'opposition' stirred them up.

Just how old is this woman? Who supports her?

What does she propose to do about the issue?

Where is she employed?

Lastly who gives a ---- about her?

The students are there because they understand their future is bleak if the current regime is allowed to continue on it's way towards an totalitarian vassal of CCP. They are fighting for themselves.
