Before the previous amnesty extension, there were many threads discussing if there would be an extension. The discussions seemed to have favored the extension 60 to 70 percent vs not. It turned out there was another extension. And here we are.

 

This time, all seem quiet.

How is it abusing to follow the laws?

 

Many people don´t realize, that August/September is not an extension of the amnesty but a grace period where you have only two options. Either get a visa which allows you to stay in the country or leave. Deadline is 26th September. For sure there will be no further extension.

Not true. After the decision was taken, an amendment was published that makes the 60 days according to law belong to the so far extended amnesty.

There will be a 30-day amnesty extension.

 

After that, there will be another 30-day amnesty extension.

 

Then again. maybe there won't.

Yes, the 'grace period' was only what Immigration were going to propose to the CCSA, cabinet and PM and ultimately it wasn't accepted by the CCSA cabinet and PM.

 

Therefore we are still in the amnesty under the original rules when they invented it last April.

Meet the requirements for an extension. Education, Retirement, Marriage, Healthcare....if not...time to go home. Plenty of options to stay here if one chooses to do so.
