Thailand's immigration chief said yesterday after a weekly meeting that the IB has received notification about the new arrest warrants out for Red Bull scion Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya.

The old warrants are now defunct but new ones have been received from Thong Lor police and are now in the system.

Boss will be unable to leave or enter via land, sea or air and will face immediate arrest if he tries.

Furthermore an emergency message of the highest importance had been issued to all immigration offices nationwide giving them the power to immediately arrest the suspect.

Boss is wanted in connection with the death of policeman Wichian Klanprasert in Bangkok in September 2012.

Charges against him were dropped causing a huge outcry.

Several have now been reinstated including reckless driving causing death and driving under the influence of cocaine, notes Thaivisa.

Boss is believed to be abroad.

So, what is the situation now with 'statute of limitations'?

Does the time start from the date of the incident or the date of the warrents?

Are we starting from 'day zero'?

The charge of cocaine abuse will expire in 2022 and reckless driving causing death in 2027.

Isn't it curious how many rich or influential people will be arrested if they return to Thailand...but they never seem to be arrested when they are in Thailand.

No flies on Plod. You had him, let him go, dropped the charges and now this.

A total farce from start to finish. Only it will never finish, will it!

No red notice for interpol then ?  nah...let sleeping dogs lie.

Even after 8 long years they seem to still only have the same two old file photos of him.

For all we know he might simply return and leave unhindered as Vorayash Yoowiddavich on a Montenegrin or Serbian passport without the dummies even noticing that he'd been here.

Thakki Shinegra showed how it's done.

Lol !! He had a Interpol notice on him and that didn’t work and was dropped like everything else ! If they think he’s still travelling around on the same passport , looking the same as he did years ago and using the same name then they are truly insane !! ????

IB didn't stop him the first time he left the country?

Will he need to get 2 covid19 tests, a fit to fly certificate signed by the Embassy of what ever country he is in and book 2 weeks in an approved quarantine hotel before he can even be arrested?

These people a bunch of jokers I bet Boss has come and gone many times  whilst supposedly being on the run and yet no one stopped him funny how brown envelopes match the same colour as the immigration and police uniforms .” I Rest My Case “
