Illegal migrants with high fever found to be free of Covid-19

Kanchanaburi authorities confirmed on Wednesday (September 2) that two of the three illegal Myanmar migrants detained in the province recently do not have Covid-19.

 

Recently, three Myanmar nationals – two men aged 20 and 17 and a one-year-old – were caught trying to cross the natural border into Thailand and were found to have high fever. 

 

The provincial governor Jirakiat Phumsawat announced on Wednesday that the 20-year-old and the toddler were found to be free of Covid-19, while they were waiting for test results on the third person.

 

Doctors from Thong Pha Phum Hospital, where the tests were conducted, said the three people had not visited high-risk areas in their country and that their fever was not from the virus.

They would never admit it anyway, they are so proud of their 100 days, with very minimal testing. 

Pretty amazing that Thailand is probably the only country in the world that has zero community transmission.
