Where have you been?  The Atlantic has been around since before the Civil War.

In rural Nakohn Si Thammarat, feels like it's been since 1846.

Interesting timing.  Election in a matter of weeks.  ????

Its politics. I am sure there will be more "interesting timing" from both sides as the date gets closer.

Pleased to read you are enjoying The Atlantic, it has an excellent reputation as does the "The Diplomat", there are others.

yes, I signed up, y/day. Also Axios, after that interview with POTUS. Also on my list are Economist, several Asian, Far East Review and a few other sources. Always good to find something balanced from US.

Even John Bolton isn't going along with this hilarious scam:

"He [Trump] got support from an unlikely source on Friday when John R. Bolton, his former national security adviser who has broken with him and called him unfit for office, said he was on the trip in question and never heard Mr. Trump make those remarks. “I didn’t hear that,” Mr. Bolton said in an interview. “I’m not saying he didn’t say them later in the day or another time but I was there for that discussion.”

You must be joking? You quote someone, who, in your own words said ' he, Trump, is unfit for office' of President. Talk of sticking ones head in the sand. 555

There used to be a time in the not too distant past when journalistic ethics would require evidence/proof/substantiation for such claims and/or the people to go on record as making such claims.

I see that’s gone out the window now.

4 people can get together and claim someone said something without providing a shred of evidence, a speck of substantiation, and do it anonymously... that’s not journalism - that’s gossip.

Obvious this was a coordinated hit piece.

sorry to hear about your eyesight and hearing disabilities (also, possibly early signs of senility).

Did Trump say it or not ?

As "it" has only one syllable he probably did. He got tongue tied on "cofeve" (more than one syllable).

He probably did. And what's more, I doubt you actually care. First it's denial, then casting doubt, next comes bashing sources, followed by what-he-really-meant, morphing into but-what-about, and moving on to only-trolling, only-joking, has-right-to-opinion, ending with so-what, nothing-burger, maga, Biden-is-this-or-that.

Steady on, I only asked whether he said it or not .

Sure bro, sure.

question: can you explain why you continue to support as your President a foul mouthed**, lying, cheating, con man, bankrupted 7 times (one of which was a casino - HOW can you go bangkrupt running a casino?), who threw away the US pandemic defence package and terminated the US pandemic world coordination team, because (quote) ' i hate paying people who are not working for me' ?

** from the horse's mouth:

Trump: "I moved on her actually. You know she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and <deleted> her, she was married."

Unknown: "That's huge news there."

Trump: "No, no, Nancy. No this was [inaudible] and I moved on her very heavily in fact I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said I'll show you where they have some nice furniture. I moved on her like a bitch. I couldn't get there and she was married. Then all-of-a-sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony tits and everything. She's totally changed her look."

Instead, suspect Obama did, feel better?

I'm just asking how you'd react, answer and you get the response to your question

A Trump supporter sets the acceptable bar for Presidential conduct.

He wasnt POTUS at the time, was he ? (genuine question)

Anyway, he said it in private and it wasnt meant for anyone else to hear

Personally I don't think that America should have gone to war in Vietnam. I understand those who stood up and refused the draft for reasons of conviction, although I do not agree with them.

Those who used money, influence and medical fraud to dodge the draft yet were prepared to let others, less favoured, fortunate or wealthy to go, fight and die are the lowest of the low.

John Fogerty got it right: ''I aint no senators son''.
