  • Covid insurance is definitely a new money maker forever after this. Worldwide.

  • Not now, it has been lifted, but when Thailand opens it's borders, I would bet that the greedy soldiers "government" will keep the $100.000 covid insurance going, it will be some moneymaker.

  • Not sure what is wrong with forcing people to have insurance. Most on this forum would not be able to pay their own bills should they get the disease. What do you want the Thais to pay it for you. You

Maybe you should read the topics in the health section. Regularly it has topics about expats who can't pay their bills at a hospital. Then they talk about moving or payment stuff. So yea I think its a pretty good guess that most wont be able to pay for it if covid really hits them. We are talking a bad case with weeks of sickness. The amount of money racks up.

Anyway yes that is my deduction, if you get topics like where is the cheapest beer and how to save 5bt on something then you can imagine that many on this forum are not that rich and many admit to having no insurance.
