Renewing my UK Passport

Featured Replies

I'll be renewing my passport at Trendy later this month.

One of the supporting documents requires proof of name and address, dated within the last year.

I receive all official correspondence on line and the last correspondence I received was the last proof of income letter from the British Embassy in Dec 2018, about a year and nine months ago.

I have a pink card and yellow book (and Thai DL) so haven't needed a to get a residence certificate for many years now.

Does anybody know if the British Embassy letter or Thai ID will be acceptable as proof of name and address, even though they're over a year old?

In fact, according to the list they publish all you need is an extra (colour) copy of the passport page showing your current visa or extension stamp. They're not really interested in your address, why would they be, they're not going to post anything to you - they just want assurance that you're legally in the country.
