I'm thinking of buying a nice BMW touring motorcycle. But, before I take the plunge, I need to know if parts are available in Thailand or will I have to sell a kidney to get them from elsewhere? Are there any service centres for these bikes in Thailand?

Another small issue is, the bike has full import papers, but it is not registered here yet. Is this a big problem or something easy to sort out?

Pretty much parts are available but you are going to have to pay a lot because they are taxed more than 100%

BMW have dealerships in bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai for motorbikes

All parts are availabe, and bikes are legally imported

I have a BMW 1150GS for sale, registered with all legal papers etc.
