girlfriend visa UK possible if still married ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys .

Quick question for you .

Can I get a UK visit visa for my Thai  gf ?

Am french with right to remain in UK . Been here 20 years . Money in the bank . 1.5 year together with proofs .

Only issue I can foresee is that I am still married . Thai wife , lives in UK .

Been separated 2 years roughly .

What do you guys think ?

Anyone ever been in the same situation ?

Let me know

Cheers

Your girlfriend applies for her visa she will need to satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer that she's a genuine tourist, her proposed visit is affordable and that on the balance of probabilities she will leave the UK at the conclusion of her visit.

The fact you are still married should make no difference to her application, it's her that has to meet the requirements, though if she's staying with you she should outline your circumastances, especially if you're providing financial support for her proposed visit.

What is your wifes immigration status in the UK and how long does your girlfriend intend to visit for, does she have strong ties here in Thailand?

I do know a few Thais who have visited their boyfriends in the UK who were still married.
