True, better rhetorical equivalent would be Brown Shirts.

If there is a second debate, Biden's camp should insist that the moderator have a power button for each mic. If there is an interruption, cut him off.

In the case of trump I would definitively add a shock collar.

I don't think that these debates will change many peoples minds, they have already decided who they will vote for.  Trump supporters never listen to any arguments against their idol, dubbing it all fake news as instructed by the orange one.

The debate itself was a disgrace but that was only to be expected.  These people are the contenders for what was once, the most important job in the world.  Not anymore as the USA continues to sink into the sewer that Trump presides over.  But this appears to be the best that America can come up with. A burnt out old man and a misogynistic lying conman.

could it be considered treason, sedition to incite/stir violence..... lock him up

No, no, no! Lock him up too closely echoes the chants at his election rallies last time round - nasty, bigoted and intolerant.

"Vote him out" is far more appropriate. The crowd chanting that when he posed on the steps of the Supreme Court building, to "mourn" the deceased lady Justice, was one of the funniest video clips I have seen for a long time

Sure, I can go along with Brown Shirts.

This thread is about trump failing to condemn white supremists. Nit blm or antifa.

Yes, rather strange though don't you think. The ONLY topic from the entire debate up for discussion here is this single topic.

Wasn't really a debate though was it?  Just a slanging match with a couple of inadequates  trading insults.  How on earth the USA expects the outside world to take them seriously is beyond me.

The moderator, from Fox, no less, was even critical of Trump!

Let's not pretend that Wallace was ever going to be an ally to Trump.

Not mentioning names, but some people are simply deranged.

Let's assume the name you are not mentioning is Donald Trump, in which case I totally agree!

Was Biden asked about denouncing those supporting a Black Agenda.  With Trump there are few recent instances of White Supremacy Violence.  Not True with BLM.  Where was Biden's denouncement of the billions of dollars of destruction and lives lost.

You gotta wonder why wallace didn't ask him why his parties  acceptance speech didn't  mention once about the riots and looting!

I might have to disagree with the "burnt out old man" descriptor, and he certainly has energetic and, IMO, capable backup.

Trump is a white supremacist himself so how can he condemn his own?

Murdoch is noted for his support of conservative governments; however, I think even he can see Trump has become a liability.

Compared to Trump I think Biden is a God, but then again anything with a pulse would be.  My concern is whether he can serve four years trying to retrieve some of the damage that Trump has inflicted on the country.  That is quite a mountain to climb.  However he has got Kamala Harris, who is up to the job and hopefully a strong support team as well.

These are some of the foreign press headlines.

Times of India - "Trump is a serial interrupter"

Asia Times (HK) - "Biden the winner of the first debate

Globalnews (Canadian) - "A look at claims Trump, Biden made during 1st Presidential debate"

You can make your own conclusion.

I've just watched the debate, Trump was an absolute disgrace, Biden won, hands down!

LOL.  Trump clearly won the debate.  Biden should have mentioned Corn Pop, a bad dude.

I'm wondering there is going to be a Kamala Harris/Mike Pence debate, because IMO Harris would chew Pence up and spit him out. My betting is the Republicans would beg off.

No point to having another presidential debate if Trump is just going to interrupt constantly.

Asking Trump whether he condemns white supremacists is like asking the Pope whether he condemns Catholics. A superfluous question at best, if not outright silly.

BBC headlines- "Presidential debate: Trump and Biden trade insults in chaotic debate"

Daily Telegraph- "Wednesday morning news briefing: Ugliest ever US presidential debate"

The Guardian- "Presidential debate live: Donald Trump tries to steamroll Joe Biden in chaotic clash"

The list goes on and on.

1660 volts. Something needs to stop him. He cannot control himself. His advisors cannot control him, nor will he listen to advice.

The best control, is eviction from the White House. Only a month to go. He does not know it, but he is careening towards the greatest humiliation of his sorry lifetime.

So what are the post-debate poll numbers?  How much support did Trump lose?
