My question to you was as you were mounting your moral high horse was, why don't you mention all of the times that it seems acceptable to keep mentioning the Empire, by being one sided and having double standards you kinda lose the moral high ground, don't you agree.

I have known you long enough to know how you keep deflecting, so it's goodbye from me and it's goodbye from him.

Your original question to me (admittedly paraphrased) was "Should British imperialism be used as a stick to beat us Brits today?" My reply "Imo no.."

Third time of asking: Do you believe that it is inappropriate and insulting to equate the EU in 2020 with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy? A simple 'Yes' or 'No' will suffice.

Remembrance Day is a poignant occasion, and I hope that it continues to be observed for a long time to come: My father served in WW2 (Burma), so Remembrance Day is important for me personally as well.

It is a truism that Germany and Italy are EU states, but it is inappropriate and insulting to infer that the behaviour of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy is somehow associated with the EU in 2020. Indeed, it can be argued that the EU has helped keep the peace in Western Europe since WW2.

Unfortunately, nazis and fascists still exist in all EU states and the UK; however, fortunately, their numbers are still relatively small.

the eu didn,t do a very good job of keeping the peace in yugoslavia.

As I understand it, the tech bods at Public Health England made the screw up. They used an old Excel format with lower capacity when downloading all the data.

Yet another example of poor management and slack oversight at PHE. Not the government's fault, but hopefully some heads will be bashed together at PHE by the government.

But opponents of the Tories / Brexit / the Union are of course going to jump on this and make as much political capital as possible out of it. Sad really.

No just another example of the UK's world class track and trace system being anything but.

Typical Brexiteer mentality. "Its not our fault".

If Corbyn had won the election you would be on here defending him and proclaiming the same?

So once again no actual answer to the post I made.

And then a bit of baiting that you only just complained about others doing ????

Where did you ask a question to be answered, other than another rambling scotrant?

The only question was this one below, which I answered.

No I wouldn't go so far to call EU facist ! But it's a "Mafia style protection racket" ! And it's pathetic how those refer to 'imperialism '  when the UK is taking back control of its laws, waters and trading rights ! Losers can't get over that !

So what would you have us do, given that as a nation we can't trust others? What would you have us become? Kim's North Korea? Pol Pot's Cambodia? Stalin's Russia? Mao's China?

Take your time now. Its a tricky question and you might need to read it a few times to fully digest it.

Of course it's a no, now that's sorted are you going to ask the anti democrats why they feel they have to keep bringing the British Empire into their posts, beside baiting that is, it may take you a while though to get all of them to answer.

Agree with that. Too slow to react and the peacekeeping mission was a toothless tiger.

What they did get right was that all those who had committed war crimes were brought to justice.

No-one thinks the EU is perfect.

It was yet another example of you taking a partial quote from someone's post and using it out of context to try and score a point.

Answer the whole post or do not bother.

It was not a partial quote, it was the most rediculous thing I've ever heard. Don't write things you don't want to be answered on.

Its was a partial quote. You carefully removed all the rest of my post to leave only one very small part which you then tried to use to score points with.

Or are you claiming you quoted me in full? Remember Vogie. The posts are still available to read before you answer.

You're right but that's why I used the phrase 'Western Europe'

I notice you have edited it but it still clearly shows you saying "if Corbyn had won the election" whichever way you want to spin it, you said it.

Thank you. It wasn't that difficult or painful, was it?

The only time I have referenced the British Empire/ Imperialism in my posts is in reply to you, so I'm afraid you'll have to convince others yourself to answer your question.

I edited it within seconds of posting it because of a typo.

Yes it does say "If Corbyn had won the election" it then goes on to say "you would be on here defending him and proclaiming the same?" But you took all of that out didnt you and you did that for a reason.

I was highlighting that were the roles reversed it would be highly unlikely a Brexiteer would be on here saying its not the governments fault its the little guys who work in PHE.

But you knew all that already didnt you.

London is 3 billion in debt?

Have you looked at the UK's national debt since the Conservatives took over?

All helped by the fact their first action upon gaining control was to cut taxes for the rich.
