Is there no end to the hypocrisy and double standards of the Republican Party? 

 

 First of all you have VP Pence, a devout Christian, who pledges allegiance to a president who purports to be a devout Christian, yet who has broken just about every commandment in the Bible. Double standards prevail. 

 

 Then you have trump trying to appeal to his conservative Christians by holding up a Bible (upside down I may add) to show that he is "righteous"? 

 

 And key to the Republicans' beliefs is the abolition of a woman's right to an abortion, or for that matter any science which emanates from cells taken from a foetus....... 

 

 Now we have trump saying that his infection may have been "an act of God" and whilst all sane and intelligent people know this is not true, it now conspires that the treatment he received relied upon material taken from aborted foetuses some while ago! 

 

 A liar – – yes; a conman – – yes; a thief/fraudster – – yes; an adulterer – – yes; and now touting the fact that he would make the very treatment that he received, available to all Americans. 

 

 I wonder how he will explain this to his Christian movement – step up for the vaccine which has been developed from the very methods you find abhorrent and have outlawed! 

 

 The country is screwed and needs a change of government urgently.
