If it’s your favorite place, what are you hoping for from posting this? You want other people to go there to crowd the beaches? I don’t understand travel bloggers.

How many people inhabit the island, and of course if it is so spectacular then why not live there year round, or at least three months and then go back to your other home in Thailand.

There are about 2,000 residents.  I think it would be boring to live there since there's not much to do but lay on the beach and availability of goods is limited.  But they have nice waterfalls

...and great sunsets.  So I go 2-3 times per year for three days just to chill out on the beaches.

It’s good you’re contributing.  There are two scuba dive shops on the island: Koh Kood Divers and Paradise Divers.

Brilliant!  Surrender it to the Russians and the Chinese.

Koh Kood is also host to the most luxurious resort in Thailand, Sovena Kiri.  Rates start around 25,000 baht up to 200,000 for a 5-bedroom villa.  No walk-ins because there’s only sea access (actually, there is a service entrance protected with a draw gate).  Some guests arrive by private plane, landing on a small airstrip on one of the tiny uninhibited islands nearby.

Is there good snorkeling?

Yes. It is a long way out to sea so water is turquoise and clean. You can go on organized snorkelling tours but if you rent snorkel and fins from Paradise Divers they will tell you how to find the reef at the beach across the road.

They need help now as there are very few tourists. More people who come the better.
