I have been using the Firefox browser for many years and have found the "Frequently visited sites" feature which appears on every new tab very useful.

However, I have managed to delete this, hopefully temporarily.

How do I restore it ?

Open a new tab; if you can see a little gear wheel (top right) click it & make sure 'top sites' is checked in the 'Firefox Home Content' section.

 

If not, that same settings section is available from the Firefox menu (3 horizontal lines top right on browser tool bar, under 'Preferences' (also with a gear wheel icon).

Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
