Accommodation on the Mekong

Hi, think we're off to Nakhon Phanom or there about for Songkran this year.

Anyone stayed there recently?

Anyone know of nice accommodation in the Mekong river?

Can be hotel or bungalow and around B1000 per night.

Thought I'd ask here before Agoda etc.

Thanks.

Songkran this year was 6 months ago.

Don't forget

Songkran in 2020
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the public holidays for Songkran were postponed until later in the year.

The first of the three substitute holidays took place on Monday July 27th to create a four-day weekend for Deleted's Birthday. The remaining two holidays will take place on Friday September 4th and Monday September 7th, creating another long weekend.

I'm guessing the OP is thinking about 2021?

You're a bit late. But yeah, try Agoda.

Your best to check the map on Agoda I think, then prices. Fortune Riverview and Fortune Mekong View take some beating for location right on the river with fantastic views. The newer Blue hotel just out of town is probably would be quieter right on the bicycle path, and has better Laos mountain views.

I’ve stayed at Chic-Chidkong Boutique Hotel many time’s.

Right opposite the Naga statue in the centre of everything stones throw from the River.

Good value, around 700baht/ night with brekkie.

If you want to go upmarket, The River Hotel is nice around 5 minute drive out of town on the River. Very popular and gets well booked up.  Last time I was there last year they were doing a lot of development  building a new cycle path in front of the hotel so bit of noise. May be finished now.
