Except many Thai hospitals test suspicious pneumonia cases for covid-19. Most serious cases go to hospital and even a few covid-19 cases would light up like a Christmas tree. I doubt a lot of people are dying of covid-19 unnoticed.

Spot on, rabas. You can't tell me that there are many if any going to hospitals with them symptoms and not being tested and dying from Covid and nothing being said. There are too many people involved like doctors, nurses and other family members for it not to be made public. People will talk.

Because Quarantine, whether it is State Quarantine or ASQ, is at the forefront of the Thai Policy for controlling Covid, this Lady was never going to have contracted the Virus within one of these Facilities.

After all, this is Thailand, and whatever the controls are, they cannot possibly be wrong, or flawed.

For anyone that thinks there is no more Covid in Thailand I have one really nice bridge for sale. Everyone is in denial because they are so desolate to get back the tourism industry.

"desolate"? Well I suppose? ????

Is there any update as to how she managed to come to Thailand when the borders are closed to most foreigners?

She is not married to any Thai people.

What a surprise, must be loads of positives walking around, but it was a mild infection for the French woman.

The French woman is also a Thai national, who even after feeling unwell on Samui , went shopping at Big C and 7 eleven. How irresponsible is that.

you all are assumining that the french woman was already infected before coming to Thailand.

and all of you believe the government has done a great job from notspreading the virus betwen Thais.

It is obvious that she was infected by either  a local person or in the plane to Kho Samui

there are no distancing on the plane

No one seems to know or even want to know, but the French woman is in fact Thai with a French husband. Thus she has dual nationality.

Even though she spent 14 days quarantine she has obviously understood nothing.. ????

Lao and North Korea get a better score... But for North Korea it is maybe possible because the border is very close already before the COVID did exist.

People have said that there is a lot of mixing in them quarantine hotels.

In some, the people go down to eat together in the same restaurant.

That is for other countries.

I don't know about Thailand but there is probably a lot of mixing too.

If she was married to "any Thai people" she'd be a polygamist!

P.S. She is not a "foreigner"

In the UK currently 141 deaths/day. Thats over 51000 deaths/year. Try those numbers for Thailand.

3.62 extra deaths a day per province over 6 months (1.81 a day over a year).

Very different population distribution (mass internal migration to rural areas at outset of emergency).

Very few in old peoples homes so many deaths at home, in relative isolation and un-diagnosed.

Age relationship important when considering that roughly 88% of deaths in UK are elderly (many concentrated in "hothouse" care-homes) and even so only represent about 1 in 400 of the +65 population of UK

Crematoriums in temples every few kms.

In a land where everybody "notices" but prefers, for a variety of reasons (draconian silencing regulations/defamation laws/social convention) to act like they haven't.

Thailand vs UK?

"Holistically" speaking........Chalk and Cheese.

Perhaps he is talking about Deleted Clovis the first, the old old French Deleted of the 5th century, from the Merovingian dynasty?

PS: sorry, a bot there changed a word by "Deleted". You should be able to know which word by the context deduction to know who is Clovis 1st, born in 466 in Tournai (french city) and dead in 511 in Paris, the son of Childeric 1st.
