BANGKOK, Oct 28 (TNA) — The Thai Ministry of Finance and the United States Department of Treasury signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation to raise funds for infrastructures in Thailand.

Pornchai Teerawet, deputy spokesman of the Ministry of Finance, said Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith exchanged the signed documents with US ambassador Michael George DeSombre at the Ministry of Finance.

According to the documents, both countries will cooperate on infrastructure development, raise funds from the private sector for the purpose, promote money and capital markets for infrastructure development, and study problems and solutions for infrastructure developers’ access to finance.

Fighting the CCP, I see. It'll be costly, not sure if Thailand is worth it, as Vietnam would provide a better ally against the CCP aggression in South China Sea.

I thought they were accusing DeSombre yesterday of secretly causing the protests? ????

Seems Chinese investments are bad but Yank investments are good according to western biased media. When will people learn to ignore this nonsense. Did WMD not teach us anything?

I expect a yank military base creeping into Thailand armed with missiles pointing at China will be next.

So you're not aware of the problems Chinese investments are causing globally?  Seems not.  Sri Lanka is but one example.  Worth a read:

This is a financial agreement.

As far as defense: The United States has a long standing defense treaty with Thailand.

If China were to attack, Vietnam would have it's own problems!

Say, how about we get together to build a railway between Bangkok and Nong Kw.......Oh.

Will history repeat itself as tragedy or as farce?

At the same time as Thailand "inks" deal with China for high-speed rail
Stand-by.  This should get interesting.

If the UK was involved in such a railway construction, everyone would have died waiting.

If China were to attack (the US), at this stage Thailand might just join with China.

Probably as farce.

It was tragedy the first time around.

Good one!

Hunter is just one of a cast of sleazy characters waiting in the wings to do their star turns.

Never before in American history has the old chestnut, "Be careful what you wish for" been more relevant.

Trump - as bad as he is - looks good compared to the left-wing loons eager to take power.

   Après moi, le dèluge.

Maybe the Trump Administration could sign an infrastructure agreement with Congress next.

CITIBANK BKK,  the 'safe' bank in Thailand for sure now !!!!
