I should have reported to immigration on 5th of October but only realised today. About a month a ago I was diagnosed with a serious,  painful Inoperable cancer. I have been abstracted and worried since then visiting the hospital frequently.  That is my only excuse for not reporting. I have never forgotten before. I am worried about being deported to UK or being held in the IDC. Anybody know my options.

That's tough news for anyone to take - sorry to read that.

My guess is that a letter from your Doctor stating that you have been unwell and unable to visit Immigration for an extension would resolve this issue when you go to Chaeng Wattana for a further extension.

I am very sorry to hear that.I think you can get a doctors note from the hospital and show this to immigration.Sorry i can't help you more as i don't know too much.

on this Forum Sheryl is very good with the medical side of things and Ubonjoe is good with the Immigration stuff. If they don't reply ,you can always p.m them.

Do you mean 90 day reporting or applying for a extension of stay. Late 90 day reporting is not a overstay and the reports were not required until after midnight today.

If an extension you are not on an overstay today due to the amnesty. Tomorrow will be you first day of over stay.

Do you have your financials proof ready to apply for an extension. You could try and do it on Monday if you are prepared and explain and/or prove the reason you are late.

Go in Monday and do your report and you should not be fined 2000 baht for late reporting since technically you are on the allowed 7 days after the report date due to them not being required util tomorrow.

I don't think they are open and if the were it would only be for short stay extensions.

I was supposed to report 5 oct, which would be 90 days since my last 90 report

You were not required to do the 90 day report on the 5th since they are not required under the amnesty.

Being late for your 90 day report is NOT an overstay and usually is dealt with a 2000 baht fine and no other retribution.

Relax and deal with it Monday.

You need to stop confusing a overstay with late 90 day reporting.

Late reporting is not a big deal. Just pay the 2000 baht fine and that is it and as I said you probably will not be fined due them not being required until after midnight today.

Thank you. I am a bit confused. This is a result of my illness and the treatment received.

I am therefore 25 or 1 day late for 90 day reporting

As others have explained, the worst that can happen is a 2,000 baht fine.

Failure to file 90 day report is nto the same as overstay.

regarding your medical condition I hope you are under the care of a pain/palliative care specialist. If not, I do nto know of any in Pattaya but there is a good team at Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok and they should be able to arrange after care/med refills etc at BPH

From personal experience:

If you have the funds, go to AGTB (A Great Thai Visa) or Best Friends Visa Service, explain your predicament. With passport and all hospital records in hand, they may be able to help you. The key is to alert Immigration BEFORE they find you. It will cost approximately 4,000-5,000thb for their service, but take my word for it, its worth the money to have the pros do the work and it removes so much stress on you.

A friend last year got all messed up in proving his income and Immigration not only refused to extend his visa, they told him he had 7 days to leave Thailand. Same day he went to Best Friends. BF took his passport and what documentation he had, talked to Immigration and within 48 hrs he had his visa extension. He told BF they had a customer for life, after that experience.

Key points, Dont wait, dont make them find you, AND pay the pros. to do the talking for you at Immigration.

They are being suspiciously generous with the morphine and lyirica from which I conclude I do not have long to live.

The results fom the last test are coming in on Tuesday to see if its operable.

I would like a second opinion because..concluded  in pm

Excellent advice. However   My visa finishes in April 2021. I am late for my 90 day reporting. Where is the agency located?

Like Joe said, go in get your number go to window 4, and do what I do act stupid that usually gets you a pass if not like he said 2000 baht.

Years ago I forgot I had Doctor note hospital bill just didn't look at it told me 2000 baht 10 minutes later out the door.

No, that advice is not for your case, you are not on overstay, you are only late with 90-day reporting, no big deal at all... Please listen what UbonJoe and others said.

Did they actually manage to obtain a full year's extension for your pal - as distinct from one of up to 90 days for medical reasons under para 2.25 of Police Order 138/2557?

Did you even read the post?

OP has zero problems in this case. He is just (overly) worried since he is 2 days overdue with his 90-days report.

If i had a newly diagnosed cancer, the last place i would want to stay is Thailand  unless i were a millionaire.

It's a decent enough place to die.

There's no law stating you have to spend all your money and the rest of your life trying for a cure, while the doctors slowly torture you to an agonising death.
