Video: Locals to the rescue! Cat uses up one of it's nine lives road battle with python

A great video posted by Manisa K'Aom on Facebook showed locals coming to the rescue of a cat being constricted by a python and about to be swallowed in the middle of the road near the Ping River in downtown Tak, north west Thailand.

First one of the rescuers claps their hands, then another gets out her phone and puts it away, then a kick is aimed at the snake, then a stick is busted over it, then some metal prods are prepared to continue the battle.

All this proves too much for the serpent who retreats.

The cat looks stunned by the experience but then darts off apparently none the worse for wear.

Channel 7 added some dramatic music for their "Jao Meow" survival video that ended with "One Saved - One returns to nature".

Shame, the snake has to eat too ..............LOL

Loved the way the locals were throwing sticks at it then running away , one of them could have at least given it a bitch slap.

Should have been a dog

Why would you want the cat to be eaten by a dog?

Uptown Tak most be pretty wild then.

I encountered a python that was at least 12 foot long in the Asoke Kasikorn driveway back in 2000. You never know how big they are in the canals just next to your condo in Bangkok.
