Trump says he will leave the White House if Electoral College votes for Biden

Even if they cram Biden into the Whitehouse this is not going away.

Evidence presented to Republican appointed judges did not warrant any decision to continue a case based on baseless claims of fraud or gross irregularities. Reading the Truth over and over is a good way to recover from hearing lies over and over. Those lies went into the Milwaukee County recount and produced even more votes for President Elect Biden.  Trump fired a cybersecurity official who called the election ‘the most secure in American history.’. Dozens of dismissed court cases with ten paragraphs of accusations but still no evidence of fraud to establish at least one reasonable case for the courts to consider ?   Now that's DEEPLY PUZZLING.

Quote   "“Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy. Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here,” 3rd Circuit Judge Stephanos Bibas, a Trump appointee, wrote for the three-judge panel, all appointed by Republican presidents.

The biggest difference between 2016 and 2020 was the fact that at least  20,200,000 more registered voters  decided to cast their votes for the candidate of their choice.

Trump lost  ,  Biden won.  Democratic elections are not set up to reward the candidate who cries the loudest or lies the most.

The sour grapes fraud posts make a bitter whine....The election is over.  It's  time to move on to the business at hand.

I hope he doesn't walk out. I hope he will be dragged out of the White House. Maybe put it live on TV and let someone tell him: You're fired!

  • Start packing. You could have done this graciously and with dignity but you are Trump so you mess it up. One thing is sure you will go down in history as the most divisive, incompetent president ever,

  • So if it goes to the House of Representatives he is not leaving, which we already knew.

Donald Trump is a lying, cheating, self-serving, abusive  and arrogant piece of garbage. A disgusting embarrassment to himself,  the USA, the world...the entire human race. Bye Bitch! ????

I'll be quite curious once he returns to civilian life if the SDNY Attorney's Office slaps a subpoena on him immediately...

Personally I’m wondering when they call trumps damaging innuendos and lies for what it is an attempted coup that beeing said when does it become a crime he really doesent have any integrity class or morals imo a true disgrace

As one poster stated accurately, 'if we go off-topic our posts will be deleted.'  They have.

I am happy to see Trump still being himself.  His exit from DC and the White house, may as well be  as much of a laugh as his immoral character really is. This guy will be remember for all the wrong reasons.  Trump did not drain the swamp, he only put his own gang into the swamp.

The USA is not in a better place because of his leadership.  Trumps handling of the corona virus is dismal, has his son been recovering okay?  I think that most of the media will be happy to see him leave, as he is such a joy to interview.  What a clown,  Bye bye Donald Trump.

It does make me wonder though. Even his supporters know this, so why do they continue to put him on a pedestal? Do they need a hero that badly?

I'm expecting things like a massive personal suit against him over the deaths due to the herd mentality program.

Biden never took the control he could have taken as President of the Senate.

Yes.  The previous VP opened up the office of the VP as a power base, and succeeded in intimidating his president with it.  "He doesn't have the guts to face me" he purportedly was heard to say.  When Congress made a move to take him to task, he bested them by moving his jurisdiction: the VP is not part of the Executive branch nor the Legislative.  I was surprised when the 44 administration did nothing to resolve the Cheney conundrum.  Kudos to Biden for not taking up the mantel.

Come on people...does it really matter what he does - NO it does not!  he can stay or leave, it will NOT effect my visa or my bowel habits one bit.  At the end of the day, he has cash and is the master of his destiny.

Given Pence is the current VP I guess you must be referring to Biden as he is the previous VP.

So much for recognising his ineptitude in so many areas including COVID-19, as one former politician said, people only care about government if it affects them or their back o let directly.

Something that isn't being discussed, perhaps for PC reasons, is that there seems to me to be a correlation between populations with a high obesity rate and a high death rate. While Thais are definitely fatter than they were 30 years ago, their obesity rate is still much less than that of western countries and same with the Chinese that I see on photos of Chinese tourists.

I wonder if any statistics are being kept on whether people dying of corona are obese or not?

Certainly, America is well known to have a high obesity rate.

32% of the adult population of USA considered obese by many studies .
Studies published point to higher mortality in obese in patients with Covid 19 in both UK and USA

IMO his "supporters" "dislike" ( being polite ) the president elect more than they do Trump- the better of two bad choices IMO. Certainly true of myself. Nothing to do with heroes, or pedestals. Had they found another "Kennedy" with decent policies in 2016 or before the last election Trump would never have won the big chair IMO, and I'd be supporting him or her.

IMO Biden has to go to bed every night with the knowledge that over 70 million of his fellow citizens dislike him and his policies so much they preferred Trump, despite everything he is accused of. That must be a bitter pill to swallow, and the knowledge that they will be looking for the smallest mistake to berate him with over his term as president. The bar was never set very high with Trump because of who he was IMO, but Biden has to prove he was worth dumping Trump for by doing a whole lot better- a difficult task in the current corona situation and a depressed economy after it is over. As for "uniting" the country........................................

The 2022 elections will show how well or badly Biden ( or Harris ) is doing.

Had the Democrats put up a better team than Biden/ Harris, IMO they would have won by a landslide and the current situation would not have happened.

The "problem" is that there is no pandemic exception to this clause in the constitution:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

Court decisions since independent have interpreted that broadly, such that the restriction applies not only to congress but to any government agency or elected official.

Tell that to Justice Alito

Supreme Court rejects petition from Louisiana pastor facing charges for violating ban on large gatherings

The U.S. Supreme Court late Friday rejected a petition from a Louisiana pastor who sought emergency relief from criminal charges he faced for holding services in violation of large-gathering restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.

The pastor, Tony Spell, claimed in a Nov. 18 filing that Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards’ restrictions violated his First Amendment rights. Spell drew national attention after he continued to hold services in person at Life Tabernacle Church during the pandemic despite state guidelines.

Your mixing of names and numbers is confusing. The previous VP, so Biden, opened up the office as a power base? The 44 administration did nothing to resolve the Cheney conundrum?

45's policies affected ALL US citizens directly. He started actively attacking social security and raising taxes on anyone NOT in the multi-millionaire-and-above club. The good part is I started saving money like a crazed weasel in the event he got a 2nd term. Now I will spend my "worry" funds responsibly on Soi 6.

Unfortunately it does, there are 1216 new coronavirus deaths overnight that attest to the fact until January 20, he can still do a lot of damage to America.

Permit me to doubt he has cash, he's about $412 million in debt and Deutsche Bank is the only bank who will touch him with a barge pole. I also doubt he is master of his destiny, the American courts could have something to say about that once the cloak of presidential immunity has gone. The odd rape and fraud case to answer.

True, your visa and bowel habits are not affected. Perhaps it does not matter to you he has diminished the standing of every American worldwide.

Time was, an American passport was the most powerful in the world. It's now at number 19.

I'm just curious where this number came from. I truly agree the US global standing has been decimated, just wonder who the top 18 countries are.

Previous VP to Biden.

Ok, here's a clarified edit:

Cheney opened up the office of the VP as a power base, and succeeded in intimidating W Bush (aka Bush 43) with it.  "He (Bush 43) doesn't have the guts to face me" Cheney purportedly was heard to say.  When Congress made a move to take Cheney to task, Cheney bested them by moving his jurisdiction, claiming the VP is not part of the Executive branch nor the Legislative.  I was surprised when the 44 administration did nothing to resolve this Cheney conundrum.  Kudos to Biden for not exercising the new powers.

I have no inside connections, so if someone demands links to validate I would have to search; if I can do it then anyone can.

It depends on which website one looks at, some of the higher ranked countries are equal in points, so they get the same rank.

https://www.passportindex.org/byIndividualRank.php

Coincidentally, the USA is ranked at 45 in the above website, befitting the current occupant. A bit of a sorry pass when a Uruguay passport is considered better.

The "passport power rating" is mainly determined by how many countries you can enter visa free, followed by visa on arrival, with that passport.  Covid has caused a drop in many ratings as countries that don't allow any entry to that passport due to the virus count against it.

What a drama queen.  If there is one thing trump has taught us it is that men are too emotional to be president.

The question is not about "will" he leave but "how" he will leave.

I expect that he will willingly walk out, in his usual attire (red tie and hat),--and defiantly without a mask.

When was a USA passport the “most powerful “?

I would have thought and have seen the power of Swiss passports as far back as 1970s

He has proven time and again he fails to have any emotional intelligence.

He is an intellectual Pygmy ( sorry Pygmies).

That's right!! When one of the key battleground/contested states the media has declared for Biden are found by a judge (very soon) to have handled their election process incorrectly, Trump will win that state. This will likely cause a domino effect on other similar state "vote irregularities". This will bring down the necessarily needed 270 Electoral College votes to below 270 and we will likely see a Constitutional requirement to move the vote to the House of Representatives... where Republicans will hold the majority vote.
