A quiet place to stay overnight near Cha-Am?

Featured Replies

I've got to drive from Pathumthani to somewhere south of Thap Sakae. The journey is about 400 kms, but I can only manage about 200 kms a day because of back trouble. 200 kms takes me somewhere near near Cha-Am. What I am looking for is something like the common roadside resorts, but away from the highway and a good deal more comfortable (i.e. 1,500 baht+ a night). I would just like a quiet, comfortable night, and I'd be grateful for any suggestions or advice. I did think about going west towards towards Kaeng Krachan national park, but the only places I know are about 50 kms from Phetkasem Road, and that is more driving than I want. With thanks.
