The UK should just cancel the talks. They don't want to agree to a reasonable deal with the EU. Ok, fine, then don't waste everybody's time. Boris and others always said no deal is better than a

If it were only true. You have provided zero facts to substantiate your argument that Germany has the power to exert undue influence over EU decision making. At the end of the day, one member one vote and all member states have the right of veto

Go back and read every link properly. I could do the work for you and cite everything but with your consistent denial what is the point.

You still don't understand how the EU really works. One member one vote and the right to veto:cheesy:. That sums up it all really and you comprehension of the EU.

You remind me of a teacher telling his student that when he drops a ball to the ground the ball hits the floor. The says it doesn't and  the student will never believe him. So the teacher says you need to open your eyes.

No more trying to debate with you. I can provide a hundred links and even if you bothered to read any of them like you didn't before you would probably definitely not understand.

I think you are getting confused, you have no understanding of what goes on during negotiations.

What you should do is stop reading rags that are there to stir, guess and confuse the gullible, so relax, let Boris and his team do their job, you just worry about you filling the UK cash hole...

Boris Johnson fails to secure Brexit concessions after three hours of face-to-face talks in Brussels

Talks in jeopardy as no breakthrough emerges in meeting with Ursula von der Leyen

Boris Johnson has failed to secure Brexit concessions from the EU after face-to-face talks in Brussels aimed at breaking the deadlock and avoiding a no deal ended without agreement. The prime minister flew home from the Belgian capital with little to show on Wednesday night, despite hopes he could prepare the ground for a political compromise ahead of an EU leaders' summit on Thursday.

Negotiating teams will return to the coalface over the next few days, while Downing Street said that it was "still unclear" whether "very large gaps" between the two sides could be bridged.

As the 27 EU leaders prepared to head to the Belgian capital on Thursday, EU officials ruled out any discussion of Brexit at the top-level meeting, briefing that leaders did not want to be "dragged into a debate".It comes as Angela Merkel made a rare Brexit intervention warning that she could not accept Mr Johnson's proposals, and Leo Varadkar, the Irish deputy prime minister, said he thought that Mr Johnson was ready to fold.

much more.....

Quite, back in 1990 when it was introduced I was instrumental in implementing the EU directive on gas appliances. I obtained the very first CE certificate issued by Calor Gas.

Everyone, manufacturers and the general public alike objected to the directive, it appeared that trying to reduce deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning wasn't a very high priority.

You have access to the single market as a third country. Every country has (unless there are sanctions or so, of which I’m not aware of).

You are confused between general access and unfettered access, which is what Bojo is trying to get without following the rules, like a shopper not wearing a mask.

https://news.sky.com/story/brexit-johnson-accused-of-a-failure-of-diplomacy-and-leadership-as-no-deal-outcome-looms-large-12156588

Boris Johnson is being accused of failure after his hopes of a Brexit meal deal in Brussels were dashed and trade talks went into extra time with a new deadline of Sunday.

His three-hour dinner with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen ended in deadlock with "very large gaps" between the two sides, according to Downing Street.

Ms von der Leyen, who described the talks as "lively and interesting" said the two sides "remain far apart", a damning verdict that suggests a no-deal Brexit looks increasingly likely. The Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove will now face MPs in a potentially heated Commons showdown, with opposition parties condemning the threat of no deal but Tory Brexiteers relishing it.

British holidaymakers will be barred from the European Union from 1 January under current Covid-19 safety restrictions, with the EU commission indicating there will be no exemption for the UK.

Only a handful of countries with low coronavirus rates are exempt from rules that prohibit nonessential visitors from outside the EU and European Economic Area (EEA) – with the UK included only until the end of the Brexit transition period.

Your post sounds like that of someone who has posted a number of links that bear no relevance to the question and are embarrassed by the fact that you personally can find not one quote in them that furthers your argument so in your defence you attack the poster. You refuse to debate with me because you have nothing to debate with.

I have come to this conclusion having read your links and found nothing relevant to the question, "Does Germany rule the EU?". I dare say you've come to the same conclusion but aren't big enough to admit it.
