Who f%^&#$% cares ??????

Wow, Thailand has very few Covid cases and a destroyed economy........congratulations !!!!!!!!

All those people saved from Covid will die in the next 2 years anyway of their existing diseases or old age or in road accidents.

Congratulations !!!!!!!!

Nobody is Asymptomatic.........and there are false positives.........thats the most likely explanation.

If you are in ASQ and someone tells you your PCR was positive and you are probably asymptomatic.......what can you do ??????

Nothing.  You are just another statistic.

One wonders if these positives are not false positives but FAKE positives.......keep the headline running of those dirty farangs so its easier to keep the borders shut and the tourism industry dying............ less protests.

Why the asinisn comment? It sounds like you don't even care anyway. Yes everything is fake in Thailand - spinning that tired old barstool line. Tests are done multiple times, so its highly unlikely to keep gettign false positives.

Yet the UK and US are facing destroyed economies as well as having tens of thousands die from the virus and associated complications.

Thailand has done exceptionally well in controlling this outbreak, and the impact on its economy will not be as significant as in the West.

Way too many foreigners are testing positive in the ASQ hotels.

That means they are catching in IN the ASQ, which no one obviously wants to keep talking about since the French/Thai caught it in the ASQ and the whole thing was questioned. Or they are catching it on the flight, which clearly shows air travel to be unsafe. Or the pre flight tests are giving false negatives, which calls all testing into question. Or Thailand’s tests are giving multiple false positives OR they are flat out scamming people for hospitalization and treatment money.

Every one of those possibilities is bad news.

You couldn't discount any of that from happening.

First thing that should happen is airlines should insist on a COVID-19 free cert before being allowed to travel for everybody. No exceptions.

1,252 in state quarantine

Has been represented in the press recently (within the last 10 days) as ~ 350, ~ 650 and ~ 700.

With 173,000 arrivals (figure published yesterday), that's 0.72% positive infection rate,.

Nine is a pretty decent figure given that they were running in the twenties recently. Hard to judge though, without the overall arrival figures, and the day (0, 5, 13) of the tests.
