webfact Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Chiang Rai: Governor declares that province will soon be declared Covid free Picture: Daily News The governor of Chiang Rai in the north of Thailand held a meeting with local officials to discuss the state of Covid-19 in the province. There have been 55 cases of the virus, said Prajon Prachsakul, all of whom had gone into state quarantine after arriving legally through proper checkpoints. Twenty would be released from quarantine today and within a few days the province will be declared Covid free. The cases were easier to handle there because there was no local transmission. This meant test and trace was simplified. In total 248 people were sent to quarantine after returning from a neighboring country (Myanmar). He urged visitors to visit his province. Oldie Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 "He urged visitors to visit his province. " Never! That sounds too suspicious to me.
ripstanley Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 The Governor should watch his nose. I will certainly grow longer after his statement.
