I have a ZXHN F680 modem/router.

I want to restrict the hours the WiFi is available, basically want the WiFi to be off from Midnight till 5am.

On the attached screenshot can I just check the "Enable scheduled RF control" and then set the on/of times, or is it more complicated than that

Looks simple enough, why not try it with a short time and see if it behaves as expected. Just make sure you have a wired connection to undo it if it goes pear-shaped on you.

Yea! that's what worries me  :shock1:

Last time I tried something simple on this unit I had to call the TOT guys to reset it.

Yes have a couple computers and one smart Samsung TV on LAN, the WiFi restriction would only be for the kids phones.

Now with yet another month off school I don't want them to be awake all night playing on their phones under the covers. :post-4641-1156693976:

Know what you mean on both fronts. We have the grandkids over for the duration same as last year.

Looking forwards (not) to being eaten out of house and home (Thai 13 and 16 year olds, bottomless pits) along with increased power bills (they like A/C).

But they're far better off with us on 1.5 Rai with a pool than cooped up in their little wood house.

Anyways took the plunge and set the off time from 00.00 to 05.00 so wait to see what happens tonight

Well seems to be working.

Haven't had any complaints from the kids about the Internet going down each night, but then as ther'e not supposed to be on line anyway at that time they can't really complain :whistling:

Anyway the little indicator WiFi light on the Router goes out between the hours of midnight and 5am so I guess it must be working.

Good to know
