Featured Replies

trying to stay positive and planning trips after this lockdown is over. When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai? I have not been for years. I am eager to avoid the smong.

Just my opinion last of Nov, Dec, Jan,  most of Feb.

Agree. Avoid end Feb. until mid April. Terrible air pollution here. Actually any time from June is fine if you don't mind the rain.

Definitely correct, live here and for sure best place those months.

Would normally agree however, this year has been as depicted in the pics since mid December, most every day.

I have bad time in Chiang Mai in March and April. Very bad air quality, made me sick. I was coughing and blowing black dirt from my nose for many days after leave. I liked December and January. Comfortable temperature.

Not from January to April, the other months are OK.

November and December were very nice

January and the smog is here, and the air is getting worse.

I  drove past three burning fields this morning.

Thank you for leaving  !

Joining the choir: forget mid-February to July; if lucky, the intermittent mango rains can soften May~June a bit, turning cleaner air into a humid sauna.
