Process for 60 days COVID Extension

Featured Replies

Hello.

My Visa (Elite Visa) will expire on 20th March. My last stamp is 20th March as well. I already got the "6 months" free extension from Thailand Elite.

I am in Thailand right now.

How can I get the 60 days COVID Extension ? What is the process ? Thank you.

I am not sure they are issuing them for entries from a Thai Elite PE visa.

You will not be able to apply for one until March. The current order for doing them ends on the 29th of the month but I expect it to be extended again.

You apply for it like any other extension. The only difference is that you will need to complete a affidavit stating the reason for applying for it.

Thank You. What is a "affidavit" ?

Can I do this extension by myself, or should I ask to an agent ?

A Affidavit is a signed and witnessed statement. Immigration will give you one to complete.

You can do the extension application yourself. No need for an agent.

I just got the reply from immigration that PE visa (Elite Visa) is eligible for 60 days "Covid" extension.

My Visa expire on 20th March.

What would be the date starting for counting the 60 days ?

Expiry date of my visa ... OR ... the extension application date ?

It would start on March 20th at the majority of immigration offices.

I went to immigration today for the "Covid" extension (counter N1 - Bangkok Division 1)

They gave me 14 days first, starting from the date of application of extension (i.e. today).

They wrote in my passport that this extension is "under consideration" and I have to go again to immigration in 14 days to get 50 more days. I should go to counter N2 for that.

What documents should I bring for this second step in 14 days ?

Only your passport.
