Removal Company

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend removal company, Rawai area, to pack and move a few miles?

Thanks

I have used these guys before and they were very professional and have all the appropriate equipment.

The are good for local relocation and international as well.

They offer packages from boxing up your house to just moving your stuff (i did the latter, boxed everything up my self and just had them move it and the furniture, cheeper ;-) )

They have have card board and padded blankets to protect your goods and will also shrink wrap your mattress for protection while moving. I was concerned about rain and they have a tarp that fits over the whole truck.

Call them and a lady, i believe her name was K. Siriporn, will come to your house do a survey, tell her what you want moved and she will write it up and give you a quotation. Rates vary based on number of items, how many guys will be required and what size truck is required (6 wheel or 12 wheel)

If you're looking to do it on the cheap side

you find a truck company (usually a dump truck) and ask them for help to move and arrange for 4-6 guys (pairs for 2-man objects) and they'll stack it in the back and move you. Items may get scratched or damaged as they are not normally equipped for this. they may have one dirty old tarp and that's about it. I've moved this way twice when i first got here and since then I'v got more and nicer stuff and want to take better care of it.

The cheap way cost about 3,000 for the trip. more back and forth trips cost more money.

Remember to be a good host, have some cold water on hand for the guys doing the heavy lifting, and after paying the "supervisor" for the company, tip each one of the movers. (I give them each 100 baht)
