Letter Delivery From USA

Featured Replies

Is mail from US quarantined when it reaches Thailand? Had one sent on JAN 10 and still waiting. Anyone else had something delivered recently and how long it took?

Not the US but I have just received now some letters mailed from the UK at the beginning of Dec 2020 so it took about 7 weeks to reach me.

The last time I had a letter sent to me from USA... it took - well, I think that was about 5 years ago... I am still waiting.

Now, I only use Fed Ex..

Had one last November that took 21 days and one in December that took 25 days.  I have one now that was mailed Jan 15 and it left the US on Jan 26 after passing through 7 distribution centers first.  Mine all arrived within 3 days after they reach Bangkok and being documents/letters probably spent very little time at Thai customs.

How was it sent? USPS Airmail $1.20?

My recent experience has been ~ 14 days, for standard airmail.

Not sure but everything is airmail?

Similar to CharlieHwe got a package in Chiangmai the size of a small briefcase (held a tote bag) in 9 days with no apparent stop at customs .

In my experience, fully franked airmail letters from the US arrive in ten days' to two weeks' time. Occasionally something gets waylaid and arrives months late, but that's the exception. Bulk mail, especially from companies that use remailers in Europe, can take a bit longer and are more often delayed.
