VIDEO: Teacher accused of having sex with student brandishes gun at school assembly

Students and teachers at school in Songkhla fled in panic on Thursday morning after a school director brandished a gun during morning assembly.

 

The school director reportedly pulled out the weapon from his waistband after the students had sung the national anthem.

 

The incident was captured on video and shared to social media.

 

Police later took the man into custody and students were sent home for the day.

 

The teacher has since been suspended from his job and an investigation has been launched into the incident.

Thairath said that the teacher was stressed over allegations about him allegedly having a sexual relationship with a Matthayom 3 student.

One would imagine, even if he was innocent of the original accusation, he's just sacked himself for turning up at a school with a gun - but , who knows with Thai schools

Well, that was a good move, what was local innuendo and rumour has now become national. By the way, for anyone not familiar with the Thai educational system, Mattayhom 3 is 14+, Mattayom 4 is 15+. 

No complaint from the parents or other family members? It seems that "sinsod " is involved?

you just can't make this stuff up. Sometimes , this place just feels like its full of totally deranged lunatics, at every strata of society. 

The school I was at, you were searched every morning for knives and guns and if you didn't have any, they gave you some!  Hehe.
