WR Life, no more direct billing with hospitals in TH
NB: For 5 years I had CIGNA Global UK. In Khon Kaen, their direct pay hospital was BangkokHospital-Khon Kaen. I had used Khon Kaen RAM for over 10 years. I asked the insurance department at KK RAM, since the main Ramkhamhaeng Hospital in Bangkok was a CIGNA direct pay, could they not get KK RAM added to the list. After a few hours later the answer came back: NO So the GOP is not automatic. -

WR Life, no more direct billing with hospitals in TH
I am going to share with you an email I received from the Financial Conduct Authority, the regulator in the UK, the bolding is theirs, (the email is available to any moderator wishing to verify it as long as confidentiality is maintained). Dear REDACTED, Thank you for contacting the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) via webform on 15 June 2024. I understand from your query that you've come across a firm call WRLife who are selling health insurance underwritten by themselves. I appreciate your concerns and reason for contacting the FCA. WRLife I’ve conducted a search on the Financial Services Register (FS register) which is a public database of the firms we authorise and regulate and it also shows warning pages for unauthorised firms. I’ve been unable to locate a firm called WRLife which means they’re not authorised by us - this sounds like a scam. If a firm is offering certain investments or financial services in the UK or if they have any affiliation to the UK, then they should be authorised by the FCA to do this. If they're not authorised then they may be operating a scam and you wouldn’t have any protections in place if anything went wrong. Please note that it's important to use contact details for firms from the register to ensure you're contacting the genuine firm. They clearly have an affiliation to the UK as their company is registered there as an Insurance Broker, they are selling policies to UK nationals and they are currently under investigation by the FCA. The underwriter for their policies is WRLife in Nevis. Nevis are the regulator and they have a very low threshold for registration as an underwriter. I believe they are paying claims out of premiums. There is a name for this, it is called a PONZI SCHEME. All these companies are owned by a French National who has a Guest House in France. Looking into the history of WRLife. There used to be an entity regulated & authorised by the FCA in the UK called WRLife France. They were passported into the UK, however they are no longer authorised to carry on business in the UK. WRLIFE FRANCE (fca.org.uk) Presumably this is why they created a new UK entity. They do not have a company in Thailand, if they did then the Thai regulator would have to approve & authorise them, they would need significant assets to cover their policies. They are not allowed to sell to Thai nationals. It is illegal for any regulated broker here to sell a WRLife policy to a Thai national (they may cover Thai dependents of a foreign policyholder). WRLife has been very carefully set up to slip under the radar in Thailand and the UK. I think they have been badly advised about the UK because they do have an affiliation to the UK, it is two-fold, first because they are registered there, and secondly, because they have sold policies to UK nationals. It is possible, that the owner of WRLife has the best intentions and is trying to build a good insurance business without the normal hundreds of millions in assets. It is also possible it is a get rich scheme. My concern would be how they will handle a huge claim for (say) a kidney transplant? In the email above the regulator in the UK says "they may be operating a scam and you wouldn't have any protections in place if anything went wrong" Those of you with policies, what protection do you have in place if anything goes wrong? -

President Kamala Harris
Kamala so far has not held a single event off script. Many of her policies wont sell in middle America. The only problem for Kamala is if she's goes into any swing state and actually tells the truth. Come to oennsykvania and ban fracking. Be honest about it. Advocates the potus interfering with the scotus. lets give healthcare to all people illegal or not. Kamala has a radical past and i hope she is willing to not try to be the moderate Biden claimed to be. Stop the lies just bring your agenda. -

Trump's pick of JD Vance a hopefully fatal mistake for his maga fascist movement
You are watching way too much FOX News. You don't seem to realize that most of your issues are dealt with at the local level. As for the border, Trump killed the funding to secure the border. And he let 3 million in during his time in office. You need a new Gish Gallop. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
i will fill out the tax return, as i have for the past 10+ years. by the way, i'm not working and i hope to receive a nice pension in nine years ... what i recommend to my friends is: - to wait end of february 2025 before taking any action. this gives you still time to get a TIN number and complete the tax return. - only transfer this year (2024) as much money to thailand to avoid paying taxes. the exact amount depends on many factors. - if possible, avoid any 'stunts' with gifts, savings, or things that aren't 100% cleared by TDA. -

It's time to put this Progressive Left-wing Conspiracy Theory to bed
I think the problem is that ex-pats buy TrueVision packages bundled with Left Wing media, so all they know is what CNN, MSDNC, etc. tell them. They get brainwashed, but pride makes them deny this. They don't investigate the truth by themselves and fall for the hoaxes of the Fake News media. If Trump saved a child from the ocean, the media would say that Trump is starving the sharks and the ex-pats would condemn him because the Fake News media condemned him. If Trump wins in November, the ex-pats will scream, like CNN, MSDNC, etc.: "This is the end of Democracy!" But if you ask them "How is it the end of Democracy?", they won't know what to say. The Left Wing media brainwashes people.- 1
