Why pandemic may be much worse than we think

Featured Replies

This study shows and reasons using a model that it's better to continue being very cautious about the virus. It addresses the issues many times raised on TVF regarding testing /infection numbers.

The original content was released exclusively by National Public Radio in America which supported partially by American government grants. It is a respected source in other words.

I am still waiting to know anyone who had complications due to Covid, or someone who knows someone who had a problem.

Do you mean medical complications? The following lists some of the more commonly observed complications:

 https://www.webmd.com/lung/coronavirus-complications#1

Then there is long COVID, not really a complication but rather a continuation of symptoms. This can effect people of all ages https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-tyne-55938399. The prevalence is still being studied, but the ONS has estimated that 1 in 10 people who tested positive for COVID still have symptoms up to 12 weeks or sometimes much longer after the test. In the UK, the NHS has apparently set-up 'long COVID' clinics https://www.bbc.com/news/health-55331166. More on long-lasting COVID in the following article:

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)32656-8/fulltext.

If you do not know anyone or someone who knows someone,.....personally that means it is not true?

Let`s be cautious with depression, alcoholism, suicide, dehumanization and division.

I have a client in her 50s; previous to getting sick with Covid no health problems. She was 90 days in hospital.  I saw her after returning home from hospital and she was on supplemental O2 and going to kidney dialysis 3xs/week.  Re-visiting her 1 month later she was no longer on O2 but but still going to dialysis 3xs/week.

Are those the kind of complications you are wondering about?
