Netizens in Thailand questioned the morality and ethics of Thai teachers after a social media post got onliners in a haircut lather.

A boy's head was pictured on a site that translates as "Organization Opposed to School Style Haircuts".

It showed the boy's head with just a portion of it shaved off to the skull - it looked ridiculous.

The post said that the child went on his personal Facebook page to complain about the teacher - who is at a private school in Bun Karn in the north east.

The teacher responded by calling the parents in and saying that the boy will be expelled.

The site said that it is the teacher who should be sacked not the student.

Netizens mostly agreed, reported Sanook, saying the only way to rectify the so called "haircut" was to shave the entire head and that might subject the student to bullying.

They called into question the morality and ethics of teachers in Thailand who would do such a thing.

In many countries around the world such an action against a school pupil would constitute assault, notes Thaivisa, and result in the teacher being sacked and possibly even facing criminal prosecution.

That "teacher" shouldn't be allowed to set foot in another school again, in addition to a black eye delivered by the kids parents

It happened to our son at high school once.      Then I gave him instructions to talk to the PE teacher in question to let him know that I'd come and shave his hair completely off if he'd do

It happened to our son at high school once.

Then I gave him instructions to talk to the PE teacher in question to let him know that I'd come and shave his hair completely off if he'd do it again, of course facing the consequences such a treat could create.

It never happened again, and the PE teacher was very friendly to our son.

I'm in no way making this up.

Teachers should be there for their students and not do such insane things. It's time that such monsters lose their jobs and start to teach their kids, instead of playing the "Khun Kru" role in a perverted way.

At which point I hold the teacher down as my wife shaves his hair off.
Then tell him to call the police.

You assaulted my son; I assaulted you.  We're even right.  Wais and apologies all around.
If not - then you take it to a different level.  That would not happen to my child (or grandchildren) and allowed to stand.  Ever!

Assault charge nothing less.

And loss of job and pension.

This must stop.

How can a teacher (sorry a an excuse for a teacher) be allowed to be able  hurt students.

Student of a Private School boner, right? Okay, -1 tuition fee.

Defund them is the best method.

"to rectify the so called "haircut" was to shave the entire head and that might subject the student to bullying"

This is how Thailand create an army of delators, brainwashed and useful idiots.

I have more than enough "friends" to ensure that wouldn't be a problem.

"do you know who i am" is a phrase i've heard often in thailand, they're all your friends until needed.

Although I don't agree with all the rules and regulations in other countries, I do agree that this constitutes assault and the teacher, who obviously feels that administering hair styles is more important than teaching, ought to be sacked immediately.

the student might be mistaken for a novice monk, and they are regularly bullied in Thailand, of course.....

Hopeful next up teacher impaled on hair clippers by irate parents ????

Does the "private shool" have a board of directors ?, if so official complaint to board, review school policies for "code of conduct", dismissal of teacher if in breach of policies, file marked with reasons for dismissal.

Find another school for child to attend, organise other parents to vote with their pockets and complaint to board.

Teacher reported to "licencing authority" for action

Quality teachers of Thailand.

Thailand -4.1

I don't have a clue what happened, aside from the haircut.

But we had kids in my schools that we'd have taken up a collection and paid the teachers to do the same to them.  And cheered while they were doing it.  (With all the other teachers faking disdain, but secretly cheering with us)

Some kids are just buttwads.  There's a reasonable chance he just got a very small portion of what was coming to him.

It is abuse pure and simple, and you call yourself an educator with that attitude?

As usual we're only getting half the story, Yep the teacher is bang out of order
