Thailand reported 95 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, the fourth consecutive day where the number of new infections have been at double digits.

As has been consistent with cases during the new wave of infections in the country, most were discovered during testing of migrant workers at quarantine facilities and hospitals in Samut Sakhon.

Of the new cases, 93 were local transmissions, while 2 were imported from people entering quarantine.

1,070 people remain in hospital or held in a migrant worker quarantine centre.

Tuesday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 25,599, with 83 deaths.

Why are most of the positives coming form those in quarantine?I thought quarantine was for people who were already tested positive.Have they put non infected people in with people infected with a deadly virus?Isn't that a tad unethical?

Quarantine is also for those who were possibly exposed and may pose a future risk. They are more likely to become positive.

If they are stuck in together with infected people they are likely to become positive. They are not quarantining these people separately that's why they are waiting for herd immunity they are waiting for them to get infected.

Yes, they locked all the migrant workers up in factories or dorms, let them carry on working and socialising, hoping to reach herd immunity in them. Sure the WHO who rated Thailand no4 for virus control, would agree that was a good move???

carrying out similar moves is what got them to no.4

Wow, double digits! Everybody feel safe now??? All hospital walk-ins. Not testing, no Covid. Nothing to see here.
