PHUKET:-- The Patong Police Chief today confirmed that police have appealed to the court to deny bail to the Phuket police officer now facing an attempted murder charge for shooting a noodle vendor on Bangla Rd in Patong early Tuesday morning.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Jailed Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny has been moved to an undisclosed detention centre outside Moscow that may be a prison camp, his lawyer and a member of a rights organisation said on Thursday.

BANGKOK (WHO) - WHO convened an international group of experts to undertake a series of studies on the origins of the virus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic. The experts constituting the team are independent scientists. One expert member of this group was recently misquoted as suggesting that the origin of the virus was Thailand. There is no current evidence to suggest this. The article with the misquote has since been corrected.

Appeals Court sets bail for eight PDRC core leaders at 800,000 baht each

Former Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban and eight core members of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) have been granted bail, set at 800,000 baht each, by the Appeals Court after they had been detained following their convictions and sentencing in the Criminal Court this week.
