Eight PDRC leaders to spend 2nd night in jail as Appeals Court has not yet heard their bail applications

Supporters and lawyers of the eight convicted key members of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), currently being detained at Bangkok Remand Prison, showed up to offer moral support to the detainees today.

Personal visits were not allowed, but they were allowed to talk to the detainees via video conference.

Democrat MP Ransima Rodrassamee said that, because there were many visitors, she was only able to talk to former Minister of Digital Economy and Society Buddhipongse Punnakanta and Buddha Issara via video conference, adding that all eight detainees were in high spirits, but appeared tired.

Moral support for the detainees:))....did they bring the mandatory flowers....or a bowl of som tum?.....

Sondhi seems to have dodged prison (bail and/or royal pardon), so expecting any of these folks to send more than a night in prison is unrealistic.

Nah, just a basket containing those little bottles of chicken s**t.

Who says hi-sos never do jail time!  They may be there all weekend as it's a Buddha No-Alcohol Day so Appeals Court may not be working.

Somehow I doubt that they will be shuffling around in leg irons, khaki tee shirts and shorts, sleeping 72 to a cell...

Doesn't lending "moral support" to somebody require that they have morals in the first place; at least some?

But not to worry. They all will be out on bail in a few days. And then they can "fight" on, dragging their feet for the next 20 years through 3 higher courts -- by which time at least Suthep will probably have died of old age.

so 2 or more nights for some few remaining (the most are already on bail).

just paves the way for detention of some 60 lese majeste cases and for refusing bail for a lady sentenced the last month for over 42 years for harmless sharing on fb.

those thugs were largely acquitted or given suspended sentences, yet they turned the country back into an authoritarian state of absolute monarchy - their main goal. Their secondary aims - corruption, went from bad to worse since since 2014, and police reform ended with an elephant tickets

Absolutely to be expected prior to the Trials of over 50 current protest leaders and minors.
Don't think these extremists will mind spending a few nights in Jail for their cause and even if they are convicted they know they will be released soon after.
Is there any explanation to exactly why were found guilty? Is it because they were demanding a Military Coup?
If so what about the Coup Makers?? lol
