Engine overhaul

Featured Replies

Hi there

Sorry if I'm posting this to the wrong place but need to know how much an engine overhaul would be for a DMAX 2007.

The engine needs to be taken out and shipped to Surat for machining and cleaning, shipped back, reinstalled and tested.

A ballpark figure to the nearest 10K BHT would be fine.

Cheers.

T.

That's not an old engine.

Anyway a friend had an old Isuzu 30 year old so and water got in the engine and it needed a complete rebuild.

An owner of a local garage towed it in and rebuild it for around 30,000.

Kwasaki - thanks for the reply.  Was that on the mainland or Phangan / Samui?

I would of missed this because you didn't quote me.

The guy owes a garage locally to us in Old Sukhothai in the North.

Do you want a complete overhaul - crank ground, line bored, cylinders bored, new pistons and rings, head overhauled and new valve guides and seals ?

What is wrong with the engine that it needs this ? Burns oil ? No power ?

Might be something simple - turbo bad, wastegate failure, etc
