PHUKET:-- Two teenagers already arrested for stealing motorbikes have now been identified as two of the three youths who trespassed by entering a closed bar in Kata last Wednesday night (Mar 3).

While in the bar, in addition to stealing bottles of alcohol and fruit juice, and bags of nuts, the youths ran amok, dancing on the counters and dousing the venue with a fire extinguisher before leaving.

Amornrat Suksingthong, 47, manager of The Sundeck bar located on the hills overlooking Kata Noi Bay on the road from Kata to Saiyuan in Rawai (Route 4030), explained today (Mar ???? that Karon Police had informed her that two of the three teenagers had been arrested for the incident, which was recorded by CCTV after 10pm last Wednesday.

From the full story: The Manager said, “I do not want to take action against them because I think they were just having thoughtless fun,”

The lady's bar had been broken into, had items nicked and left in a mess she had to clear up and was still so forgiving? Wow! It seems the kids are in a fair amount of trouble already, but hats off to her for having such a nice disposition and not adding to their woes.

Perhaps the lady is not looking forward to having structural trouble with a gang of youths that steal motorbikes to finance their yaba addiction?

Such a  dramatic interpretation. Yes the 2 brothers are accused of motorbike thefts, but maybe the bar people are trying to do good? Many families have had bad financial problems with social order disintegrating.  Their parents who may not have been model citizens themselves are most likely reduced to begging and borrowing to survive. Not everyone  is from an extended Issan family.  Many of the local jobs on Phuket were reserved for locals and with tourism collapsed,  they have nothing.

No, I not make excuses, but I prefer to see good in bar owner who try to show kindness and compassion.

Sometimes if you make trouble it will come back 10 fold, if she pressed charges you can bet her place would have been hit harder next time.
