khunandy Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Hi all, I have a couple of nephews coming up for a visit in a few weeeks and we will be staying in Udon for a night or two. They are good blokes and its not their first visit to thailand but it is their first visit up North. Does Udon have a "naughty" nightlife or somewhere for a young bloke to have some fun. Since I have been married I just havent searched it out but I don't want to be left shuffling my feet when the night progresses that we are in town. Any recommendations? I know there are a lot of bars , are there any nightclubs, live music or disco type places? Thanks for any news. Khun Andy

Any chance of someone emailing me the map as an attachment [email protected] Thanks Andy Sorry, I just looked at Issan maps and we have the map on the forum. Its a great map of Udon City. Gary A Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 The old farang alley is now long gone. Many of the bars have moved to The same soi the Irish Clock is on. That soi is one block west of where the farang alley formerly was. The name of that soi is Samphanthamit. The Top Mansion Hotel on that same soi has parking and is a decent place to stay. The rooms are good value for the money. There are plenty of girls to keep you company but if you are looking for Go Go bars you will certainly be disappointed. Actually it is very low key and quiet.
ray23 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Started to put negaitve comment like it's terrible. But hey the bars need the money. The true answer is yes there is, when you have few months to really learn the ropes. Can't help there I'm married these day probably got an entire new set of ropes by now,
