Visa Agent Kl

Featured Replies

Hi all

Anyone know a good visa agent in KL, who will go and get me a 60 day tourist visa, whilst I go out on the town for two days, next time i go there in a few weeks time.

Anyone ? Thanks

Security are'nt scared of 500b (50 Ringit) on the sly to put you @ the front of the que, then picking up the following day takes all of 30 seconds. :o

Thanks for the tip, if I have to go in,

but I am trying not to get near the place.

I just want to give the passport to some guy, let him get it done whilst I go get a few beers.

I am pretty sure that's not an option in KL. If you want to use an Agent the go to Penang. If you show up early at KL and avoid mondays its usually pretty quick.

Not a definitive answer to be sure, but in years of reading this forum I have never seen anybody post that they have used an agent for assistance getting a visa in Kuala Lumpur as is done in Penang.

Thanks guys,

i will give it a go, when i go, if i can find one i will post

it here. but as was said before it might not be an option.

Are Mondays queues that bad? What about other days? How long a wait is expected, what times to get there by for a TV?

Last time I went (on a thursday) the gates opened at 9.00 AM you could then sit outside in the shade and fill in your form (provided by security) whilst waiting for the consular section to open (9.30).

On entry it's a 'take a number' job, be sure to have your photos, the security chap won't give you a number if you don't, at the time they had a photo-booth inside don't know if it's still there though. We were in and out of the consular section in less than an hour (non-o multi), staff extremely pleasant :o

Pickup is from the gatehouse next morning at 11 ish, done in less than a minute :D

Thanks, sounds a breeze, I'll be there in a fortnight.

You can get a visa for any country trough a visa agent in your home country. You can normally NOT use a visa agent in a country that is not that of your passport, unless you can show a legal residence certificate (copy) for that country. I do get most of my visa that way trough a visa handling agant in my country of origin (i.e. that of my passport) wherever i am in the world. Roughly how to proceed: send your passport by DHL registerd/insured, with the required documents (photo, forms etc... differ per country for which you ask a visa) to the agent in your country with whom you have an account, then you get the passport back same way with the resquired visa(s) in roughly one week .... Costs for DHL both ways, visa fee and agent fee are all on your expense, but mostly add up to only around 200$ all included for getting visa hassle free. Up to you.

sometimes monday can be busy especially if its after a holiday. If you do decide to go on a monday then show up very early to get in the front of the line.

I went on a thursday one time after a 3 day holiday and it was hel_l. I was not able to get my application submitted until 7 pm that evening after being in the sweltering heat for 10 hours. Thankfully they stayed open until everyone was served.

Since then I have been going on tuesdays and its usually in and out in less than 1 hour.
