Ex-TV anchor Sorayuth freed from prison, to wear tag for two more years

Former Thai TV news anchor Sorayuth Suthasanachinda was released from prison this morning (Sunday), under a special imprisonment suspension program, but he is required to wear an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet for the next two years and four months, until the end of the prison term.

DPM Wissanu reacts to Constitution Court ruling on charter rewrite

BANGKOK (NNT) - With Parliament split on whether or not to proceed, after the Constitution Court ruled it has the authority to rewrite the charter if a referendum is held first, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam has given his recommendation that a third reading take place and be allowed to conclude naturally.

At least 39 reported killed in Myanmar as Chinese factories burn

(Reuters) - Security forces killed at least 22 anti-coup protesters in the poor, industrial Hlaingthaya suburb of Myanmar's main city on Sunday after Chinese-financed factories were set ablaze there, an advocacy group said.

Sri Panwa owner ‘Pla Wan’ injured as car hits power pole

PHUKET: Vorasit ‘Pla Wan’ Issara, 40, the owner of the upscale Sri Panwa resort at Cape Panwa on Phuket’s east coast was injured when the car he was driving struck a power pole on Sakdidet Rd in Wichit last night (Mar 14).
