Thai fraudster allegedly swindled $9.7million out of lonely rich men

 

• Siriluck Fatima Chimmalee arrested in June 2020 over alleged romance scams

• She is also alleged to have run a money exchange scam targetting Thais

• Chimmalee faces 103 charges from alleged financial crimes worth $9.7million

• Represented herself in Supreme Court, denied bail, due to reappear April 9

Phuket Immigration: Extend COVID visas early to avoid rush

PHUKET:-- The Phuket Immigration Office has called for all foreigners staying on 60-day ‘COVID visas’ to extend them early to avoid overloading the office with last-minute applications, as experienced last week.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's tourism-reliant economy could contract in the first quarter from the preceding three months and the corresponding year earlier period due to the impact of a new coronavirus outbreak, the central bank said on Wednesday.
