Chiang Mai have always dated my extensions from the day I apply.

Last time I made the mistake of applying 1 month early, so got 1 month less.

They've put the wrong date stamp on it. (Wrong month)

Take it back to CM for correction.

OK thanks for clarifying visa types. Regardless of extra steps to get to non-o the process was very doable and i think scaring  and misleading was a bit excessive by them . So going to original topic... should i worry about potential nonsens from  evil immi Lady. If so.... are there ways to appeal? Or should i just relax

Which office did you apply at? Some are known to make it difficult to do anything.

The non-o visa is almost a automatic approval done at the division headquarters. I think it will be approved before the day they told you to return.

As long as you have all the required documents it should not be a problem to apply for the one year extension of stay.

That office is know not to be the one of the best ones.

Since it is in the central region of the country and you visa application was sent to Immigration Division 3 in Bangkok for approval.

Don't worry, just an official who's jealous that your wife has found a handsome young foreigner to marry.

They're only human, after all.

I thought the same. Officer would maybe have some fun with this young farang and now she is jealous. That is what it has to be...
