Because of the current situation i don't really fancy taking my children to immigration centre in Bangkok - they are aged 3, 5, and 14.

Do i have to take them to extend their visa ? We arrived on visa waiver, and will be getting our one 30 day extension.

Smallers Kids don't get overstay fines and no other reprecussions at all. So you don't need to extend their visas if you wish so. However, if you want to be technically correct and still wanna do the extensions for them, your choice. If that so, all of you have to present yourselves in front of extension officer and give pictures and fingerprints. No exemption to this.

On the other hand, Only your 14 year old kid and yourself will need to go and do the extension at immigration.

Ah disappointing they have to take finger prints again and all that.

Don't really feel safe at all to do this, especially as we are flying back next week - last thing we need is a positive covid test.

No you do not. That is not a normal requirement for extensions. You can do the extension for the youngest children but the might want your 14 year old child go be with you.

Children under the age of 15 are not fined for overstays.

That's aged 15 and under, right?

A 15 year old can be fined. It is under the age of 15.
