PHUKET: Phuket’s mass-vaccination campaign will resume next week with those who received their first injection earlier this month to receive their second jab from Thursday next week (Apr 22).

 

Phuket’s allocation of vaccines through the national mass-vaccination campaign had been allocated early, the Phuket office of the Public Relations Department (PR Phuket) explained in a post online today (Apr 16).

 

The early delivery means that people in Phuket who received their first vaccination from Apr 1-10 will be able to receive their second injection from Apr 22-30, the notice said.

Hmmm.. 3,000+ daily vaccines administered and they call that "Mass" ??? It will only take 60 years before they finish the first round. Is there a way somehow to get TAT involved to speed up this process?

"The Tourism and Sports Ministry needs to reset the timeline for the Phuket sandbox because the province may not have enough vaccine doses following the new nationwide spread of the virus."

 

Pfff. No shhit. Who would have thought? 

Here's some failed initiatives in chronological order:

travel bubble, Phuket model, STV visa, ASQs, golf quarantine, area quarantine, Hub of everything, target therapy, sandbox, mass vaccination. 

 

I don't know where these TAT shamans got their chrystal balls, but I hope they kept the receipt for return.

Thay have no idea what "mass" vaccination means.

If all the hospitals in Thailand given the correct equipment & supplies, they could administer 5 million a week. There are many, many hospitals in rural areas.

How about turning Phuket into an Island based Quarantine zone and send all those testing positive to it. Then maybe those who are loosing money can give up on attracting Tourists with hotels full and income assured. Luxury Leper Colony or Alcatraz on the Adaman? Perhaps the Barflys Party Animals and Government Officials would also appreciate an extended vacation. Start a Go Fund Me appeal?

Why do you refer to the whole if Thailand when the topic is Phuket only?
