All nightspots in Bangkok to remain closed for another 14 days

All entertainment outlets in Bangkok, including pubs, karaoke bars and massage parlours, which have already been closed for more than a week, will remain closed for at least the next fortnight, Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang said today after chairing a meeting of Bangkok communicable disease committee.

The committee also adopted other restrictions imposed by the CCSA, to become effective at midnight Saturday.

These include all eateries closing at 9pm for dine-in service, and 11pm for take-home and delivery services.  All malls and department stores can open until 9pm, but amusement parks and game halls in the premises are closed until further notice and gaming machines shut down.

Best is to keep them closed for 6 weeks....

You may as well say 6 years - the virus isn't going to magically disappear!

2 weeks shutdowns do absolutely nothing to stop any spread. Much as I want to get back to the family after a year, Thailand needs to shut down everything for 2-3months. Immediately.

During the 2-3 months roll out the vaccine and then keep your fingers crossed
