Popular Post webfact Posted April 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2021 Picture: Sanook Sanook reported that the province of Samut Prakan recorded 64 new Covid-19 cases in a single day - 42 local infections and 22 brought in from outside. It was the first time since the pandemic began that infections had been over 60 in a single day there. Thirty two teachers and students at a well known Muang district private school have tested positive in a cluster. CDC spokesman Dr Opas Kankawinpong revealed that the infection had been brought back by two foreign teachers after they went to an "entertainment venue" in Phuket between April 2nd and 4th, a weekend. They were back teaching and invigilating exams on Monday 5th until Thursday 8th at the school in Bang Plee. On that Thursday there was a farewell event for departing teachers at which many students were hugged, reported Dr Opas. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-04-19 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 5 4

Popular Post ikke1959 Posted April 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2021 Samut Prakan had already a lot of Covid, Who has prove that the foreign teachers are the one who infected the others?? Easy to blame foreigners. Besides 3-4 April to Phuket Average your incubation time is 5-6 days before you notice to be sick. So..... it is always very difficult to find out who infected who when. It is the chicken and the egg question 15
Popular Post JustAnotherFarang Posted April 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2021 And on the same page, right hand side, you will see the following headline "Prayut tells the media to stop reporting about his ministers at nightclubs". This is Thailand where it is always easiest to blame others than to look at themselves 22 3 4

It's a bilingual school, which in recent times opened an international school on the same grounds. Bilingual school is on school holiday until May, I'm not sure about their international school. The cases relate to the international school. I read a public apology to the school, parents, kids, etc, from the 2 international school teachers a short while back.
wombat Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 with the pics ive seen from Phuket i am dubious to the credibility of the story 1
Popular Post wensiensheng Posted April 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2021 Not to be picky, but shouldn’t the headline read “ foreign teachers go to phuket entertainment venue and catch Covid from Thai people, then go home and infect students”. I mean if we are going the route of the blame game. 19 4

Unless the teachers had a negative test before going there is no proof. They could have been infected by the students. 10

Popular Post Scouse123 Posted April 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2021 Instead of blaming the foreign teachers, why was the entertainment venue open putting people at risk? It isn't Thailand, it's everywhere, Everybody wants to do what they want and then blame others for infections. 4

Popular Post Scouse123 Posted April 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2021 In my view the teachers who are mixing with large members of the public as in students, should have more damn sense that to be going to entertainment venues. They are supposed to be teachers and lead by example. Second, What the hell are they hugging each other for in the midst of Covid19, at school just because somebody is leaving? Safe space and distance, wash hands, wear a mask....what are these clowns thinking? 7 2

And the night before Bangla was closed, I met with two teachers from Bangkok who were eating at the same restaurant, so it seems as if Phuket/Patong was a bit of a magnet for these people – – not to mention the many young students who frequented the place at the same time.
misterphil Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Hugged the students? Must have been American teachers. Why not a traditional Wai ???? and adhere to social distancing? ???? 1 2 1
Sydebolle Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 So take these two naughty, naughty teachers, skin them alive and invoke a witch burning - welcome to the 15th century. Just wondering, what else the chief clowns want to stick onto the dirty farang alias alien's backs! 1

This is really what I hate here, they never wrong. 5555 3 3

DogNo1 Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Never admitting fault seems to be characteristic of some Vietnamese people too. My half Vietnamese daughter never admits fault for anything. This sometimes causes problems with her America-born children who are now all over 20. It seems to be more of a problem with the two boys than the two girls. Her mother is the same. She never admits any fault. It seems to be a feature of the culture. Apparently you don't get any forgiveness for admitting faults. 1
